Phua is a Senior Associate of Salamander and is part of the Chief Finance Officer as a Service (CFOaaS) practice.

Phua had a successful career as a senior finance leader in blue-chip IT companies including SAP, DELL, and NTT over the past 25 years. In these companies, he was tasked to lead a broad range of financial operations that included: ASEAN CFO, Finance Director for Financial Planning and Analysis, Head of Procurement, Head of Commercial, CFO for Global Clients, and Head of Pricing. He has helped these companies achieve their financial targets in profitability, cash conversion, and productivity improvements while strengthening accounting standards and compliance.

For the past 2 years, Phua has been helping start-ups with CFO services. Currently, he is an interim CFO for KoolLogix, a Singapore based engineering start-up, helping them to prepare for a fundraising round. Previously, he was in similar role for Transcelestial Technologies, another start-up that has successfully completed Series A funding.
